About Us

Robert’s Press was created in memory of Robert J Van Moorsel the brother of our founder Christine Dernederlanden. In 1986 when Christine was 14 years of age her bother Robert fell to his death over the Niagara Falls Gorge. He was only 19 years of age. Robert made the fatal mistake of hopping the rail to the Gorge to relieve himself. Six month after his death Christine had a cancer scare in her legs that led her to explore not only her grief, but her own immortality. Christine's mission since this date is to ensure that no child will grieve alone.

The mission of Robert's Press for over a decade has been to Help People Through Life's Challenges. We offer hundreds of grief resources, H.U.G.S. Helping Understand Grief Training, Empowerment Workshops, articles and much more. Through all we do we offer hope, support and empower individuals to move forward through life's challenges.

Our focus is on Canada, and we work closely with authors and publishers to reach Canadians with their own stories. We select all our books, wherever written, to reflect the interests and circumstances of the grieving and bereaved.
